Rebranding the institute of computer science and multimedia of sfax
Introduction
This is the first dev log of many whule, i work on a course project. The course is called multimedia technologies and we have been tasked to recreate our Institute website and make it more meaningful. I do not feel that this task is adequate enough to highlight the qualities of this great institute of computer science and multimedia, Infact, it wont bring justice to the hard work the academics in the institute put toward providing great value to it students that rival the greatest & most renowned technology institutes in the world.
Moreover, not even the institute students themself appreciate ISIMS brand and culture as evidenced by a great instagram reel posted by my class promotion where they asked the rest of the students to describe the institute in one word. Most of them answered with confusion, their gut feeling about the institute was confusion which highlights a total branding failure from the part of the institute. Some of them even said they cannot wait when they can leave. No one thought to highlight or describe the great, modern and outstanding curriculum the institute offers or the sense of camaradery the academics are trying to create.
Therefore, ISIMS not only have a website design problem but its more or less a symptom of the branding problem the institute has which is what my project will be dedicated to fixing.
Problem
To conclude on what I mentioned in the introduction the institute current problem lies in it branding.
- ISIMS brand identity is old and out of touch with what the institute has pivoted itself to.
- ISIMS brand does not look professional and does not inspire quality and trust
- ISIMS curriculum stands out from the rest of the institutes in the country yet the brand does not show that
- Students looking for an institute to pick do not understand why they should choose us and they do not what the institute does exactly.
Make sure to follow for the upcoming blogs on where I talk about how I’m going to address these problems.
